Study Of An Investigational Drug For Acute Ischemic Stroke

Description

Seeking adults aged 18-90 who have experienced an ischemic stroke (due to reduced blood flow to the brain) in the past 24 hours and have limited treatment options for a study of an investigational drug.

Overview

Participants in this study will get either the investigational drug or a placebo (looks like the investigational drug but contains no medicine) as one infusion followed by seven injections. There may be as many as seven study visits following hospital discharge.

What we're hoping for

We are studying if an investigational drug improves blood flow to the brain for people aged 18-90 who are within 24 hours of experiencing an acute ischemic stroke and helps them to return to normal function.
