Seeking men and women aged 65 and older for a study of changes in the microbiome in the intestines of seniors when they move into a long-term care facility.
Seeking men and women aged 50 and older who will be transferred to a long-term care facility, have been a resident of a long-term care facility for more than one month, or who live in the community and attend senior center programs for a study of the gut microbiome to better understand risk factors for Clostridium Difficile (an intestinal infection that causes severe diarrhea)
Seeking people whose recurrent Clostridium difficile (C. diff) infection has not responded to standard antibiotic treatments for a study to see if fecal microbiota transplantation is effective for treating C. diff infection.
