Study Of A Psychotherapy To Improve Social Connections For Young Adults With Mental Health Conditions

Description

Seeking people aged 18-26 who are living with mental illness and could benefit from improving their relationships with others (friends, family, romantic partners) and other connections in the community for a study of a psychotherapy program.

Overview

Participants in this study will be screened for eligibility. Those who are eligible will get 12 weekly ACTsocial-EA counselling sessions either in person or by video. There will be a follow-up interview 3 months after the end of the counselling sessions.

What we're hoping for

We are studying if an investigational psychotherapy is helpful in improving the social support, mental health symptoms, and the social connections of young adults with mental health conditions and if they find it helpful.
