Study Of Physical Activity And Pregnancy-Related Changes In Feet

Description

Seeking women who are in their first trimester of pregnancy (under 20 weeks) for a study of how weight-bearing physical activity might change the strength of the muscles supporting the foot arch during pregnancy and after giving birth.

Overview

Participants in this study will have three study visits to have their foot strength, foot arch and 3D foot motion measured during their first trimester, third trimester and 10-20 weeks after giving birth. Study visits will take about 2 hours and participants can bring their kids with them.

What we're hoping for

We are studying how weight-bearing physical activity might change the strength of the muscles supporting the foot arch during pregnancy and after giving birth.
