Description
We are looking for women ages 18–45 who had a baby in the last 6 months who have postpartum depression (feeling very sad after giving birth). Participants will come to the clinic for 5 days of daily brain sessions and then be followed for 6 months.
Overview
This study looks at a fast, daily brain session program called SAINT to work with moms who have postpartum depression (feeling very sad after giving birth). Visits consist of 10 brief sessions over the course of a full day. Participants will receive visit the clinic for 5 days of sessions. Some get the real sessions and some get a look alike version. Check-in's continue for 6 months to see how participants feel. If someone’s mood gets worse, they may be offered one more set of sessions.
What we're hoping for
We want to learn if daily brain sessions can help mothers with postpartum depression more than the look-alike version. We also want to know if people find these sessions comfortable, and how moms bond with their babies over time.
