Early Postpartum Mood And Birth Trauma Screening Study

Description

Seeking individuals over 18 who recently gave birth at UMass Memorial Medical Center. This study compares mood and birth trauma screening scores between people who deliver early versus full-term.

Overview

This study looks at how mood and birth trauma screening scores differ shortly after birth between those who deliver preterm and those who deliver at term. Participants will complete two surveys during their hospital stay and allow review of their medical records.

What we're hoping for

We are studying differences in early postpartum mood and trauma risk between people who deliver their babies early versus delivering their babies when expected.
