Study Of An Investigational Eye Drop To Prevent Corneal Abrasions For People With Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa.

Description

Seeking people aged 6 months and older with Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa who experience corneal abrasions for a study of an investigational eye drop.

Overview

Participants in this study will be randomly assigned to get either the investigational eye drops or placebo (looks like the investigational eye drops but contains no medicine) for 12 weeks. After the first 12 weeks the assignment to investigational eye drops or placebo will switch so that all participants will get the investigational eye drops for 12 weeks. Participants will use the eye drops in both eyes weekly for up to 24 weeks.

What we're hoping for

We are studying if an investigational eye drop is safe and effective for treating and preventing corneal abrasions for people with Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa.
