Study Of Early Gestational Diabetes Screening

Description

Seeking women who are less than 14 weeks pregnant for a study comparing screening for gestational diabetes at 14 weeks compared to the usual screening at 24-28 weeks of pregnancy

Overview

Participants in this study will be randomly assigned to get gestational diabetes screening at either 14 weeks or 24-28 weeks of pregnancy. If you are assigned to get the early screening, a blood sample will be collected during their usual initial prenatal lab blood draw.

What we're hoping for

We are studying whether screening for gestational diabetes at 14 weeks of pregnancy is better, worse, or the same as screening at the usual time of 24-28 weeks of pregnancy.
