Study Of An Investigational Drug For Moderately To Severely Active Ulcerative Colitis In Children

Description

Seeking children aged 2-17 with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis that has not responded to treatment for a study of an investigational drug to prevent inflammation.

Overview

Participants in this study will be randomly assigned to receive either a low or high dose of the investigational drug to be taken once a day for a year. For younger participants the investigational drug will be a capsule to sprinkle over their food. A 5-year long-term extension for participants whose ulcerative colitis did not improve, or who completed the study may provide a higher dose or the current dose of the investigational drug.

What we're hoping for

We are studying an investigational drug for ulcerative colitis in children to find the best safe and effective dose.
