Study Of The Body's Reaction To Use Of Prescription Opioids For Pain

Description

Seeking men and women with a medical or surgical pain for which they have been prescribed opioids for a study of how their body reacts to use of the opioids over time.

Overview

Participants in this study will wear a smartwatch-like wrist sensor that will collect heart rate and skin temperature for 30 days and then complete surveys five different times over a year. Participants can also choose to have a blood sample collected at 4 different times over 3 months.

What we're hoping for

We are collecting heart rate and skin temperature data from a smartwatch-like wrist sensor from people who take prescription opioids for medical or surgical pain to better understand how the body reacts to opioid treatment for pain over time.
