Study Of Wearable Devices To Monitor Cardiac Rhythm For Atrial Fibrillation

Description

Seeking men and women aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation for a study of mobile and wearable electronic devices.

Overview

Participants in this study will be randomly assigned to wear an electrocardiogram (ECG) patch and a portable handheld ECG device for either 2 or 4 weeks, take a 2-week break, and then repeat for 4 months while wearing a wrist-worn smartwatch and maintaining a diary of atrial fibrillation symptoms.

What we're hoping for

We are studying whether measuring heart rhythm for 4 months using mobile and wearable electronic devices is feasible in people with atrial fibrillation.
