Study To Improve Blood Pressure Management In Pregnancy

Description

Seeking women who get their OB care at UMass Memorial and are 8-26 weeks pregnancy and have chronic hypertension or gestational hypertension for a study to improve blood pressure management in pregnancy.

Overview

Participants in this study will be randomly selected to use either the investigational smartphone app or a diary for writing down their blood pressure at home for 8 weeks. Halfway through at 4 weeks and at the end there will be follow-up visits that may be either in person or over the phone.

What we're hoping for

We are studying how to improve the care of women with hypertension or high blood pressure in pregnancy using a smartphone app.
