Study Of An Investigational Drug For Newly Diagnosed Uterine Leiomyosarcoma

Description

Seeking women with newly diagnosed early stage (I or II) uterine leiomyosarcoma for a study of whether taking an investigational drug following surgery is better than not taking the drug at preventing the cancer from returning.

Overview

Participants in this study will be randomly assigned to either get the investigational drug taken daily or not at all following surgery to remove the cancer. A visit is scheduled at the start of each 4-week cycle for 24 cycles. A CT scan will be conducted every 3 months during treatment and then every 6 months.

What we're hoping for

We are studying whether taking an investigational drug or not following surgery for newly diagnosed early stage (I or II) uterine leiomyosarcoma prevents the cancer from returning.
