Study Of Skin Cancer Risk For Organ Transplant Recipients

Description

Seeking Men and Women who are 18 years and older who are either awaiting an organ transplant or had an organ transplant about 5 years ago for a study of factors affecting the risk of skin cancer following immunosuppression treatment.

Overview

Participants in this study will be asked to provide a small skin sample. Participants who are awaiting an organ transplant will have one study visit before surgery and one about a month following surgery. Participants who have already had a transplant will have one study visit.

What we're hoping for

We are looking to understand what immune responses are happening in the skin of organ transplant recipients that may increase their skin cancer risk to find potential treatments.
