Study Of An Investigational Drug For Hospitalized Patients With A Viral Lung Infection

Description

Seeking hospitalized men and women who are on supplemental oxygen because of a viral lung infection for a study of an investigational drug added to the usual treatment

Overview

Participants in this study will be randomly assigned to receive either the standard treatment alone or have the investigational drug added to the standard treatment. the investigational drug is given as a single dose within 36 hours of being admitted to the hospital. There will be 5 study visits over 60 days.

What we're hoping for

We are studying whether adding an investigational drug to the usual treatment for hospitalized patients with a viral lung infection requiring supplemental oxygen has an effect on recovery.
