Sample Collection From Healthy Volunteers For Study Of Infectious Diseases

Description

Seeking healthy people who may have been previously infected with influenza A virus (IAV), coronaviruses such as Covid, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV, the virus that causes mononucleosis or “mono”), cytomegalovirus (CMV) or the virus that causes roseola to collect blood, saliva, and nasal swabs to study immune system responses to the virus.

Overview

Participants in this study will be asked to come to a 15-20 minute study visit that will include blood, saliva, and nasal swab sample collection and completion of a questionnaire. After the initial study visit, follow-up visits would happen after 1 month, 2 months, and then every 6 months for up to 5 years.

What we're hoping for

We are collecting blood, saliva, and nasal swabs from healthy volunteers who may have been previously infected with flu A, Covid, Epstein-Barr, cytomegalovirus (CMV) or roseola to better understand how the immune system responds to a viral infection
