Study Of Pre-Surgery Health Improvement For Lung Cancer Patients

Description

Seeking men and women who have been diagnosed with lung cancer and plan to have surgery as part of their treatment for a study on improving health through exercise, diet, and stress management before surgery.

Overview

Participants in this study will be enrolled in a 2-4 week long a program that includes an exercise regimen, nutritional advice, and stress management techniques including meditation and breathing exercises before their surgery. Participants will then be followed for up to 6 months after their surgery. There will be up to 4 study visits.

What we're hoping for

We are studying whether a program focused on improving lung cancer patients’ health before surgery will decrease the likelihood of complications after surgery.
