Study Of An Investigational Device To Prevent Epileptic Seizures

Description

Seeking people aged 9 and older who have epilepsy with focal seizures that has not responded to treatment for a study of an investigational device

Overview

Participants in this study will document their seizures in a diary for 12 weeks before being randomly assigned to get either the investigational device or a device that looks like the investigational device but is inactive.

What we're hoping for

We are studying whether an investigational device that fits over the head and provides transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) reduces the number of seizures for adults and children with focal epilepsy that hasn't responded to treatment.
