Study Of Detection And Management Of Postpartum Hypertension

Description

Seeking women who are at least 24 weeks pregnant, will deliver at UMass Memorial, and either have insurance through Medicaid or are uninsured for a study to detect and manage hypertension in the first 6 months following delivery.

Overview

Participants in this study will be given a blood pressure cuff and instructed on how to use it and support during the 6 weeks after birth and then check-ins at 3 and 6 months after birth. Study visits may be in person or remote.

What we're hoping for

We are comparing two different ways of detecting and managing hypertension in women in the first weeks and months after giving birth.
