Study Of An Investigational Drug For Men With High-Risk Metastatic Hormone-Sensitive Prostate Cancer

Description

Seeking men with prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of their body (metastatic) that has been treated with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) for a study of an investigational drug.

Overview

Participants in this study will be randomly selected to either take the investigational drug or a placebo (looks like the investigational drug but contains no medication). All participants will take abiraterone and prednisone/prednisolone as standard treatment. The treatments are conducted in 28-day cycles and there are study visits on day 1 and day 15 of the cycle.

What we're hoping for

We are studying whether an investigational drug added to standard treatment for metastatic prostate cancer is more or less effective than the standard treatment alone in controlling advanced prostate cancer.
