Description
This study is for patients diagnosed with moderately to severely active Crohn’s disease who have recently completed a research study with the study drug.
Overview
Crohn’s Disease is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the bowels that can cause diarrhea, abdominal pain, rectal bleeding, weight loss, and fever. The purpose of this study is to see whether the investigational study drug is safe and effective for the possible treatment. If you join this research, you will be randomly assigned to receive either the study drug or placebo (a pill with inactive ingredients). Patients must have recently completed a previous study with this drug to participate.
What we're hoping for
We hope the study drug is safe and effective for long term treatment of Crohn’s Disease compared to a placebo (a pill that does not contain active ingredients).
