Study Of Fecal Transplantation For Diverticulitis

Description

Seeking men and women with uncomplicated diverticulitis for a study of fecal transplantation as an alternative to surgery to treat diverticulitis.

Overview

Participants in this study will be asked to identify a healthy fecal donor, preferably a family member. The fecal transplant will happen during a colonoscopy. Participants will need to collect stool samples weekly for 4 weeks and then for the 4 follow-up study visits at 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year following the transplant.

What we're hoping for

We are studying whether fecal transplantation is safe and effective for uncomplicated diverticulitis.
