Seeking teens aged 13-17 with autism spectrum disorder for a study of whether an investigational drug affects the level of the chemical GABA in the brain and if it improves social performance.

Participants in this study will have about 6-7 office visits, three of which could take up to 6 hours. The investigational drug, which has been FDA approved for other medical conditions but not autism spectrum disorder, will be taken by mouth three times a day for 8 weeks.
