Study Of Adding An Investigational Drug To Standard Care For Active Systemic Lupus

Description

Seeking men and women whose active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is being treated with non-biologic therapy for a study of an investigational drug.

Overview

Participants will receive either the investigational drug or a placebo (looks like the drug but contains no medicine) as 2 injections given monthly over a year. All participants will continue with their standard care lupus treatments. The initial office visit may take up to 6.5 hours and subsequent office visits may take about 4.5 hours. There will be at least 16 office visits over 18 months.

What we're hoping for

We are studying whether adding an investigational drug to the standard non-biologic therapy for active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is safe and effective in improving symptoms in people who have SLE.
