Study Of Effect Of Walking After Surgery On Healing

Description

Seeking men and women who will be admitted to the minimally invasive surgery service at UMass Memorial for a study of how walking after surgery helps with healing.

Overview

Participants in this study will be given a pedometer to report their steps each day after surgery while walking in the hospital and during the period after discharge and their post-operative follow-up appointment.

What we're hoping for

We hope to better understand how walking after surgery affects healing.
