Study Of An Investigational Drug For Status Epilepticus

Description

Seeking people aged 12 and older who have a form of epilepsy called Status Epilepticus, causing near constant seizures, for a study to determine if an investigational drug added to the usual therapy helps reduce seizures.

Overview

Participants in this study will receive either the investigational drug or a placebo (looks like the investigational drug but contains no medicine). The investigational drug is administered once via an intravenous (IV) infusion over 48 hours. All participants will continue with their usual treatment.

What we're hoping for

We are studying whether adding an investigational drug to the usual therapy is safe and effective for Status Epilectus (SE) a form of epilepsy that causes near constant seizures.
