Study Of Moderna Covid-19 Vaccine In Patients Who Have Had A Solid Organ Transplant, As Well As Healthy Volunteers

Description

Seeking men and women over 18 years of age to determine the effectiveness of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine in this patients who have had a solid organ transplant, kidney or liver, and health volunteers.

Overview

Participants in this trial will be randomly assigned to receive either the investigational vaccine or a placebo (looks like the vaccine, but doesn't contain medication). There will be approximately 7 clinic visits over 13 months.

What we're hoping for

To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the mRNA-1273 vaccine for the prevention of COVID-19 in patients who have had a solid organ transplant, kidney or liver. The effectiveness of the mRNA-1273 study vaccine is not known in this population.
