Comparing The Effects Of Different Levels Of Nursing Care Monitoring For Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke (Optimist)

Description

Men and women over 18 years old who have a diagnosis of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) and have been given intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) treatment.

Overview

Participants will receive either standard monitoring or low-intensity monitoring following intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) treatment. Data related to participants medical history and hospital stay will be reviewed along with questionnaires.

What we're hoping for

We want to determine whether less-intense monitoring is at least as effective to standard monitoring, on the functional recovery of patients who have received intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) treatment for acute ischemic stroke (AIS).
