Impact Of Fever Prevention In Brain Injured Patients

Description

Seeking patients who have suffered a brain injury like ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage or subarachnoid hemorrhage for a study of an investigational medical device to prevent fever while in the hospital

Overview

We are studying how an investigational device that circulates water through pads placed on a person's skin to control their temperature compares to standard treatments to standard treatments like medications and cooling blankets to treat fever while in the hospital.

What we're hoping for

We hope that the investigational device is effective in preventing fever. We also hope that preventing fever improves how well a brain injury patient recovers
