Conquering Diseases

Study Involving Clinical Patch Testing Of Skin

Description

Looking for adult volunteers 18 years of age or older with no history of any chronic skin diseases for a research study using clinical patch testing to see their skin’s response to chemical allergens.

Overview

This is a laboratory study to learn more about skin allergy. There are approximately 7 visits to the Clinical Research Center over a period of about 3 months. Visits at the beginning are brief but frequent. There is one visit that is 2 hours. All visits are scheduled according to your availability.

What we're hoping for

We hope to better understand how allergens in common household products affect the skin by using a synthetic allergen to cause a mild reaction on a small spot of skin and then take a sample using painless, non-scarring methods.
