Description

Seeking people with Parkinson's disease and healthy volunteers for a study of how speech changes depending on PD symptoms, effects of medication and genetics.

Overview

We want to better understand the effect of Parkinson's Disease (PD) on speech and communication. It may be possible to use speech to monitor symptoms of PD. Our goal is to understand how speech and language characteristics change in PD depending on symptoms, effects of medications, and genetics by analyzing the differences in speech and language skills between PD patients and non-PD patients.

What we're hoping for

We want to better understand the effect of Parkinson's Disease (PD) by analyzing the differences in speech and language skills between PD patients and non-PD patients so that we can develop new methods of monitor PD symptoms.
