Study Of An Investigational Device To Remove Blood Clots For People Who Are Experiencing An Ischemic Stroke

Description

Seeking men and women experiencing an ischemic stroke caused by a blood clot blocking blood flow to a part of the brain and causing a large amount of brain damage for a study comparing treatments to remove the blood clots.

Overview

We are studying an investigational device to remove a blood clot blocking blood flow to the brain and causing a large amount of brain damage. All participants will receive standard treatment, but some will be randomly selected to also have their blood clot removed with the investigational device.

What we're hoping for

We hope that use of the investigational device to remove a blood clot blocking blood flow to the brain causing a stroke will reduce damage to the brain from the stroke.
