Study Of The Effects Of Hospital Interventions Just After A Traumatic Brain Injury Affects Long-Term Outcome

Description

Seeking men and women aged 18 and older who have been admitted to the hospital intensive care unit following a traumatic brain injury for a study of how care received in the hospital impacts long-term recovery.

Overview

In addition to standard care for traumatic brain injurty, participants in this study will have their health followed daily by the the study team until they are discharged from the hospital. Then the study team will contact them at 3, 6 and 12 months following the injury to ask about their recovery.

What we're hoping for

We are hoping to collect data about how differences in care received in the hospital following a traumatic brain injury might impact long-term recovery.
