Study Of An Investigational Implant To Prevent The Discs Between Backbone Vertebrae From Being Pushed Out (Herniating)

Description

Seeking men and women whose doctor has recommended surgery to relieve pain resulting from damage to a disc in their back being pushed out of place (herniated) for a study of an investigational device to prevent the disc from reherniating.

Overview

This study is to find out if an investigational implant can be used to treat some of the symptoms associated with a damaged disc that has been pushed out of place and no longer protects the nerves in the spine and the spinal cord.

What we're hoping for

We hope that the investigational implant will help prevent the discs between backbones from being pushed out of place (herniating).
