Conquering Diseases

A Study Of An Investigational Drug For Bladder Cancer

Description

We are studying whether combining an investigational drug with standard chemotherapy and surgery is more effective than just the standard chemotherapy and surgery in treating bladder cancer.

Overview

Volunteers for this study will be randomly assigned to either take the investigational drug or to take a placebo (looks like the investigational drug but doesn't have any active ingredients) with the standard chemotherapy and surgery. Then data will be collected to see how well the body handles the investigational drug, how effective it is for treating bladder cancer, and whether it improves the volunteer's quality of life.

What we're hoping for

We are hoping that the investigational drug will be effective in treating bladder cancer and that it can be used safely.
