Study To Develop A Screening Test For Preeclampsia In Pregnant Women

Description

Pregnant women who are in their late 2nd to 3rd trimester who have high blood pressure are sought for a study to develop a screening test for preeclampsia in pregnant women. We will collect samples of your blood, urine, and saliva to see if we can detect levels of a protein that would help accurately predict who will get preeclampsia.

Overview

We are looking for ways to screen for preeclampsia so that women can get treatment for preeclampsia earlier, hopefully avoiding complications like pre-term birth.

What we're hoping for

We hope that the results of this study will help us to develop a way to identify patients at high risk so that we can treat preeclampsia earlier, hopefully avoiding complications like pre-term birth.
